Fluid-fluid displacement porosimetry (FFDP) is a method for determining the pore size distribution of porous medium from viscous fluid-fluid immiscible (drainage) results, using simplistic representation structure by cylindrical parallel tubes. The leads to unambiguous estimates when microstructure strongly anisotropic and reasonably akin this representation. information obtained technique however less straightforward interpret more complex microstructures. On basis synthetic data network simulations, it evidenced, in particular, that shift toward unrealistic small sizes. shift, may be very significant, due pressure drop displacing fluid. It shown significant improvement achieved characterization considered as an inverse optimization problem. latter solved presented previous work was restricted situations where effects are unimportant.
